Final covers

I found it hard to choose out of these 3 as my main cover. But in the end i tried to choose which would be easiest with writing and layout and colors to use.

With the first two with the brick background, it made writing and colors easy to do, as there wouldn't be any difficulty in being able to see writing. It would also be a simple black and white color theme.

Whereas the third one, which i do really like, would of been difficult with what colors to choose due to the background being quite bright. It didn't leave me with much choice of where to put the writing and what colors to use.

My fusion images

This was my first attempt at my photo-shoot and i was happy with the results. My fashoin was vintage mixed with soul due to the peace necklace my model wore. The Jack Daniels t-shirt looked quite vintage.

These are my favorite and best images:

My straight-ups

My straight-ups. Admittedly, i did these rushed and didn't think about the background as much as i should of.

I-D front covers

Here i've got a few examples of I-D front covers. As you can see quite a lot of big stars have been photographed for I-D magazine, such as Lady Gaga and Kate Moss.

From looking at these covers, I've realized that the title, bar code, headline etc are all laid out differently on each cover, there is no set style. I've also noticed there is a color theme. They've made the title and headlines, the same color to go with the background and images etc.
The main part of the I-D cover, is the wink the cover model does. The main reason for the wink is because it's related to the I-D logo. It's a wink face. It is important for the model on the front to have the correct eye closed/winking. It should be the models right eye, which then on computer looks as if it's their left eye.

New assignment - Fashion/Music

For our new assignment, we are focusing on the magazine I-D. We are to research all about fashion and how it is related to music and as a final product, to make our own fashion edition of I-D magazine, with a minimum of 4 pages.
We are to keep progress of our work in sketchbooks.
For the magazine, pages definitely tly needed are front cover, straight-ups, fusion images and a interview with someone local related to the band industry.

Practicing slow motion

We did a practice video of a slow motion effect with music and special effects.

Me and Eirini did a series of shots where we would turn around and put my hood up from behind, then Eirini would wear my hoodie, and turn around so it looked like the person swaps as it turns around. It was a good practice video, but it was abit random and didn't really have a story to it.

Stop motion

Our new task is to make a stop motion video. The video could be of anything with any music. Its up all to the individual.

This is an example of a stop motion video. We are to create a similar sort of video.
